How to make arm hair thinner

Steps

  1. 1
    Wax your hair.
    • Waxing the hair on your arms can result in the full removal of hair. To maintain hairless arms, you'll have to repeat the waxing process every 2 or 3 weeks. A benefit of waxing your arms is that after repeated waxing sessions, your hair will grow back thinner. This can leave you with much less natural hair growth than what you started with. For some, the roots of the hair are destroyed or damaged with repeated waxing sessions, and they can find that their hair eventually stops growing.
  2. 2
    Use a depilatory cream.
    • Depilatory creams are available at most drug stores, and work by dissolving hair on contact. If you use a depilatory cream, your hair will grow back slowly and thinner than it used to be. Results can also last for weeks.
  3. 3
Consider bleaching the hair on your arms.
    • While bleaching does not, technically, thin out hair, it does make it less noticeable. When bleaching takes place, the hairs are lightened so that they appear almost invisible against the skin. If you'd prefer to avoid pain and desire a quick fix that you can perform at home, think about buying some bleaching products and applying them to the hair on your arms according to the product instructions.
  4. 4
    Try laser hair removal.
    • Laser hair removal can remove arm hair and slow its growth. While many are under the impression that it is a permanent way to get rid of arm hair, it is actually a temporary hair removal method, just like everything else. However, several maintenance sessions can make hair growth appear as if it is slowing to a stop.
